In addition to the interpretation, An Education is a movie with a big script and an excellent direction. His director Lone Sherfig allows to breathe perfectly the actors during the scenes, does not go crazy with the camera, and enthusiast recreates Jenny's life of a way and entusiasmante.

Superman Returns: drama or action?

It is sure that many you will remember the movie of Superman Returns, who, for many fans of the saga of the super hero, was going to turn into one of the big movies of the whole life. His director, Bryan Singer, already had demonstrated his qualities in previous movies like the first one and the second part of X-Men, being quite eloquent in his love for the first famous movie of the saga of Superman, directed by Richard Donner in 1978.

Superman Returns received good comments on the part of critics of the whole world. The movie collected almost 400 million dollars in the whole world. Nevertheless, most of the big followers of Superman took the movie as as a big disappointment. The absence of action and the excessive emphasis on the romance of the superhero and the girl, there were the principal friction arguments.

Brandon Routh was Superman in the latter movie of the saga. His similar one with Christopher Reeve is a little strange, especially when one puts the glasses and he behaves like Clark Kent. Some critics did not speak very well about the role interpreted by Routh, qualifying it flatly, but they did not emphasize in what to my judgment the actor was right, personifying the same kindness as Christopher Reeve it was printing the Superman personage.

Superman Returns shows to a Superman more meat and bone, a super hero to whom they do not do notch the bullets, but yes the wounds of the heart. On July 26, 1928 it should go down in history for the birth of one of the best film directors who has given the history. Slightly prolific of quantity, but very much in quality, Stanley Kubrick has drunk to some movies of his best moments, with movies that have gone down in history and that the today young people keeps on enjoying.

With only 23 years it made debut like the director. It was running 1951 and this year realized two movies that did not even come to Spain, Flying Padre and Day of the Fight and two years later, in 1953, released other two that did not come to our country, The Seafarers and Fear and Desire either.

It would not be until 1955 when the movie The kiss of the killer would come up to us, to continue with a movie per year with Perfect Armed robbery in 1956 and the brilliant one, and possibly the first one that obtained a big acceptance, Footpaths of glory.

Three years later it would return with one of his big successes, Espartaco, which in 1960 would cost him his first nomination to the Oscars in this case like better photo, award that it did not gain. In 1962 it released one of his most well-known works, not so much for his quality, but for his polemic, Lolita.

And in 1964 red Phone was coming. We fly towards Moscow, movie that would cost him the nominations of better movie, better governing and better adapted script, although none of them would take either. In 1968 it would repeat 3 nominations for 2001: An odyssey in the space. Better governing and better original script and also, that of better special effects, which ended up by winning. This would be the only one Óscar of his career.

From 1971, when it released The mechanical orange, for which it obtained 3 more nominations, only 4 more movies came up to us. In 1975, Barry Lindon with 3 more nominations. The Resplendence in 1980, with a brilliant Jack Nicholson in the interpretation. And his last two movies, in 1987, The metallic jacket, which served the last nomination to him to the Oscars.

Finally, in 1999 his unfinished movie came, Eyes Wide Shut, which will go down in history more for being his last movie, and for the illness of the couple Kidman-Cruise than for his quality. A genius of the movies that closed his trajectory with a mediocre movie, but that not that's why one of the best filmografías steams up of the history.

Beda Docampo Feijóo is the director of crazy Loves, who is not for anything his first work. He is an author of approximately 50 scripts, between which there is Camila, a tape that was nominated to the Oscar to the best foreign movie. One of his last works since the director has been Love me, a really interesting movie.

When he speaks about crazy Loves, Beda Feijoo does it enthusiastically. And the fact is that he has told himself that he was wanting to write a movie on how sustaining the desire of living, from what he began thinking about the curiosity.

A thought that there led him to creating the personage of Eduard Fernández, who is a detective's species that is obsessed in spite of discovering the mechanisms that are started when the big affectionate passions arise.

Also, thinking about how there is shy the distance that exists between the desires and the reality, Beda thought about the importance of the imagination, to from here on, there created the personage of the minder of a room of the Prado Museum that Irene Visedo interprets. The minder constructs a passional connection between the personages who appear in a painting of four centuries ago and becomes convinced of that they are she and the psychiatrist.

From here on, the director was creating other personages, the singing sister, the ex-woman, the friendly surgeon … All of them, just as the protagonists, they want only to chase what they lack, a little that gives sense to him to his lives.

“The Hurt Locker” triumphed with the awards Bafta

Since he had promised to be in advance in this movies blog, last Sunday, the 21st of February there was realized a new edition of the awards Bafta. If it is necessary to look for an absolute winner, undoubtedly that would be “The Hurt Locker” that managed to rise with six awards.

In the event of premiación of the Bafta, several awards were delivered standing out that of “better movie” that, in this opportunity, was for the movie “The Hurt Locker”. For his part, “Incarnation“ could only rise with two awards.

Between other things, it would be important to emphasize the fully deserved homage realized to the British actress 73-year-old Vanessa Redgrave.

Possessor of a vast experience, and winner of an Oscar, Redgrave is deserving of this recognition, which has happened to almost a year of the loss of his daughter, also actress Natasha Richardson, who was dying tragically after a ski accident in the Canadian mountains.

He is one of the most international French directors and between his movies there are some successes of the American movies of last times.

Born in the French capital on March 18, 1959, his first passion was always the diving. His parents were dedicating both to this profession, and he wanted to continue for this world turning into marine biologist. But an injury provoked by an accident while it was diving forced him to separate from this career and to take it only as a hobby.

After that he decided to devote himself to the world of the seventh art and worked during a good weather like direction assistant for some French directors. While it was fulfilling this task, it directed some shorts to begin announcing and already in 1982 it made debut as directly r (that not in the movies) with Kamikaze 1999, an imposing apocalyptic movie without dialogue.

In 1983 there did his début in the movies with the movie The Last Battle (The last battle) and two years later it directed Subway: in search of Freddy, where it had under his orders the people like Christopher Lambert and Elizabeth Adjani.
Pero Luc Besson is a topcoat, the director of cult and that began demonstrating with his movie The big blue, where it was treating an illness as the apnea and that it cost him the recognition of the public most select, but not like that of the criticism, which threw the movie to him for the soils in spite of being, possibly, his best movie in general terms.

Alice in the Wonderland on March 5

It is one of the big works of the infantile literature and now it comes to us in version 3D and conventional, although we will have to wait until March.

Insurance that if Lewis Carroll should meet Tim Burton, he would have thought that he was the ideal director to take the slovenly wonderland to the movies. And the fact is that Carroll, was a brilliant writer, but also it had a privileged mint, with a too big imagination to live inside only one head, that's why he needed to write it and share this imagination with the rest of mortal.

Tim Burton was one of those mortal and he remained with a the majority of the imagination that Carroll was distributing and it has demonstrated it in multitude of movies, Eduardo Manostijeras, Sweeney Todd, The fiancée Cadáver, Sleepy Hollow …

Now it brings to us the history of Alice to the movies, which will come to our screens so much in 3D as in conventional version on March 5. And it makes it surrounded with some of his habitual collaborators.

Helena Bonham-Carter in the role of the queen of hearts, although in this case also it might belong to the obstructionists, Johnny Depp in the role of crazy hatter in addition to other big actors who also have worked with Burton but not so regularly. We find Christopher Lee, Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall or Anne Hathaway.

Although as almost always, he decides to give the principal leading role to unknown someone. If in Eduardo Manostijeras it discovered us to Wynona Ryder, now it brings to us to Mine Wasikowska who will interpret Alice in the movie.

Frankenstein, hundred years of the first cinematographic monster

This year there are fulfilled the first 100 of the cinematographic adaptation of the novel of Mary Shelley, Frankenstein.

J. Searle Dawley was the first cinematographic director who had the value to adapt to the "big" screen the novel of Mary Shelley. This first Frankenstein was distant much from the one that we could have seen since then with some of the most famous movies of the movies of terror, topcoat during the 20s and 30s.

This first tape was created for visionarla with the Quinetoscopio and it lasted only 16 minutes. It was recorded in general plane and with fixed camera and, of course, in mute movies. The big attraction of the movie was, over everything, the name of his producer, Thomas Alva Edison.

To roll these 16 minutes they were needed up to 3 days and a complex assembly system to be able to carry out this first adaptation of the monster. It was released on March 18 of the same year.

The argument, enough of the novel was distant. Víctor Frankenstein had the aspect rather of a magician or an alchemist ahead of the visions of a doctor that we have had later and the Frankenstein monster, instead of being created by sophisticated machines and the help of a beam was created in a boiler.

The recording system was quite complex, since the creation of the monster was not easy to carry out. To obtain it, there was burned a doll that had a framework similar to a skeleton. This fire was recorded later to mount it with the inverted time, obtaining the sensation that was creating the monster, sticking the parts of the doll to the framework of skeleton that existed.

For that time, a few advanced special effects, which now seem of laugh, but which with the technology of those moments there supposed a good advance and a big surprise between the spectators who could enjoy it before the tape declared itself lost. Fortunately, there appeared a copy that was recognized like correspondent to this filming at the end of the 70s.

The share-out was formed by Augustus Phillips in the Doctor's role Frankenstein while Mary Fuller interpreted Elizabeth. And the lucky one that could redeem the monster role for the first time in the movies (a role that then was battled by some of the best actors of the genre) was Charles Ogle.

The controversial director and creator of the only histories and intimists died on January 11 at the age of 89 years.

Born on April 4, 1920, he has been one of the big French directors and Europeans of the history. The director of cult, critic of movies, journalist, novelist, scriptwriter and teacher has been one of the key figures, if not that more, of the French movement of the Nouvelle I strolled around (New cinematographic wave).

In spite of having done multitude of movies during his career but his big success has been based on three movies compilations: Six moral stories, requested between 1963 and 1972, which they include the movie that it threw to the success, Him Genou de Claire (Claire's knee) that won in the Festival of San Sebastian of 1970.

Then 6 movies of the collection came Comedies and Proverbs, tires one per year between 1981 and 1987 with a small rest in 1985, formed by 6 typical comedies of the French humor, without excess, but really ingenious.

Finally, already in the 90s, there came the Stories of four stations requested between 1990 and 1998 dedicating 4 movies to four annual stations.

But in addition to these compilations, Rohmer directed another 11 movies. The first one, The symbol of the León, in 1959. Then it was dedicated entirely to his first collection, six moral stories. It returned to movies out of his series in 1976 with The marchioness of O and rolled other two before entering directly his second series recopilatoria.

In 1987 it returned with another two movies emphasizing the second one, Four adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle. Already in 2001 and after having rolled some movie more, all his work was recognized after him when it gained the León of Gold in the Festival of Venice. Since then, already past 80 years, only more, Triple Agent rolled two movies in 2004, and the one that was his last movie, The loves of Astrid and Celadon, rolled in 2007.

With the Rohmer death, one of the big film makers goes away of the history, a big creator of interlaced histories who perhaps saw little rewarded a career that now when it is already not between us, will turn out to be recognized finally.

Woodrow Tracy Harrelson was born on July 23, 1961, although it is much more known like Woody Harrelson. Michel Gondry: the fantasy of the French movies

We already have here the new movie of animation of Disney, Tiana and the Toad. This is the history of Tiana, of New Orleans, a dreamy girl turned into barmaid, and who aspires to turn into proprietress of an elegant restaurant. Also, it is of being grateful for the return to the drawing to hand in two dimensions, that nothing has to do with such an affected and sophisticated animation drawing of now.

Tiana and the Toad takes also excellent musical numbers, and it will try to have the same impact as other big movies of Disney, like Aladdin or La Bella and the Beast. Only it stays to bring us over with the children to the movies, and to enjoy it.

The famous statuette of the Oscars was born neither in a study of shooting nor in the pages of any script, but curiously for boredom after the meeting of a committee.
